Nidhi Gandhi (she/her/hers) is a writer, rhetorician, and educator from Queens, NY. She was one of the first three people to earn her BA in Writing Studies Composition from Hofstra University. In addition, she holds a dual degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and Literature and an MFA in Creative Writing from The City College of New York.

Nidhi is also a successful researcher and has published the article, “Academic Voice, Oppression & Identity in FLOW, a methodological reflection entitled, “My First Time-Conducting a Study as a Novice Researcher,” in Young Scholars in Writing, and has been profiled in Hofstra Horizons and Young Scholars in Writing. She has presented her research at Hofstra University’s Undergraduate Research Day Spring 2019, Fall 2019, and Fall 2020, the Naylor Workshop in York, Pennsylvania, and the Mid-Atlantic Writing Center Association (MAWCA) Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Furthermore, Nidhi has served as a mentor at the Naylor Workshop for undergraduate research, and is a writing center tutor.

Her research interests include: Students Rights to Their Own Language (SRTOL), Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC), digital and cultural rhetoric, technical/professional writing, and writing program administration.

She will be pursuing a PhD in Writing Studies-Rhetoric soon.
